Class descriptions

Come to class prepared to sweat, bring water and a towel. We have water and energy bars for sale.

Hour of Power:  This one hour power class combines heat with breath and movement to take you to both your ment
al and physical edge.  Variations in poses for both beginners and advanced students makes this a great class to try Power Yoga

Yoga for Athletes:  Come to this class to find the edge you've been looking for.  Poses are designed to strengthen the core, improve alignment and lessen imbalances that lead to overuse injuries.

Happy Hour:  This is where you get your groove on!  An hour of power combined with music ranging from Bob Marley to Johnny Cash to Lil Wayne.  No rhythm required.

Teen Yoga:  An hour of power for teens between the ages of 13 and 18.  Teens will become empowered by facing challenges on the mat.  At the same time they will gain strength and flexibility.  A signed waiver must be presented for participants under 18 before taking classes

Long, Slow, Deep:  A perfect complement to the dynamic style of power yoga.  Here we hold the poses longer, 2 to 5 minutes, slowly relaxing into the connective tissue and ligaments, going deep into the bones of our hips, pelvis, and spine.

Yoga Thugs:  Not for the faint of heart.  We'll start with a 1/2 hour of body sculpting in the spartan tradition followed by a 1/2 hour of yoga.

Hard Core Yoga:  The name says it all.  All poses are designed to target the abdominal muscles.  If you are looking for firmer, harder, more defined abs then this is the class for you

Yoga Tots:  Grab the kiddies and your mat.  This class is for children 2 - 5 and a parent.  Have fun with your child in this ongoing class.  Preregistration is required.

Back to Basics:  Sometimes getting back to basics is the only way to find perspective.  This class is perfect for EVERYBODY, from the brand new yogi who wants to be challenged to the experienced yogi who wants to focus on alignment, while being challenged.  Everybody should come to class prepared to smile and sweat.

Give Back Class:  Great athletes make great yogis, that's why you can choose to have half of your drop in fee for this Hour of Power class go to support either Lakeside Lutheran or Lake Mills High School Athletic Boosters.

Bliss Out:   Outdoor workouts burn more calories and tone your muscles more completely.  That's not all, taking your workout outside also improves your mood.  A harder body and better outlook, that's enough reason for us to play outside.  This outdoor circuit workout will challenge your endurance and get your heart rate pumping with fun moves like the long jump and jumping rope.  By mixing the moves and changing the  intensity with side step squats and low crawls we'll go through some tougher intervals to keep the mind and body engaged.  No tree hugging required.
